More details coming soon to this page. Start planning your Paddle Out day and get your school/workplace/sporting clubs together to attend. We need as many people to participate as we can.

HOW TO PADDLE OUT

Get your paddle on! It's as easy as 1-2-3! Join us on Saturday 13th July to create THE BIGGEST Paddle Out for whale awareness. Here's how:

1) Bring a flower and something to float on (surfboard/body board etc) to the beach in front of Enzo's on the Beach on the Esplanade in Hervey Bay

2) Head down to the information tents to register before the event kicks off- it's free- and receive your instructions from event officials (please wait for the sound off on the beach before entering the water)

3) Get ready to Paddle Out! Wait for the sound-off and take to the water to join up with fellow paddlers to form a massive circle then join in the 1 minute silence in the water where the symbollic flowers will be released

**Can't Paddle Out but still want to take part? No worries! Non-paddlers will line the water's edge to release flowers from the shore and take part in the one minute silence. 'Paddle' your feet- it still counts!**

Last year we saw paddling devices of all shapes and sizes! Why not get creative and make your own. We've seen everything from DIY rafts to people participating with pool noodles! Get creative and join in, it's all just a bit of fun.

PADDLE OUT AND MAKE IT COUNT:

Days like Paddle Out for Whales are helping to send an important message....that we do not support whaling! So be counted and register on Sat 13 July to paddle out and help to send an important message with us!

To make your attendance count, please register on the day at the info tents located on the beach so we can prove how many people took part. Registration is free and will kick off from a time TBA down on the beach in front of Enzo's Cafe.

WHY FLOWERS?

Flowers will be released in the water during the paddle out to symbolise the number of whales that were taken in last hunting season in the waters south of Australia.

**Whale songs will feature through the speakers throughout the Paddle Out that were recorded here in Hervey Bay.
